>The India Government advisory issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs states that it is mandatory for all concerned parties to disclose stock details of lentils. If someone hides the stock and it is discovered later, it will be considered as hoarding and appropriate action will be taken against it under the Essential Commodities Act.

> Usually during August, preparations for harvesting the new crop of lentil in Canada and Rahar in African countries begin and the import of its new crop also starts.

Price of Masoor Dal has increased from RS 125-140/kg in last 20 days

>Prices seems to be stable now at RS 140/kg in Kathmandu market 

 

 

> The arrival in the market has become negligible.
> Even the stockist does not have much stock left.
> However, Lentils import from Canada is still going on.
> According to traders, it will take time for the lentil market to rise.
