A brief ban on Indonesian edible oil exports shook markets and made existing supply issues worse,but it also resulted in a huge increase in domestic inventory.

Brent LCOc1 futures for February delivery rose 31 cents to $84.64 a barrel, a 0.4% gain, by 0117 GMT. US crude CLc1 advanced 22 cents, or 0.3%, to $79.75 per barrel.
India has lifted the ban on export of wheat to Nepal. It had imposed a ban five months back. On Thursday, India had issued a permission to import 50,000 tons of wheat.
